Ceo of Tulsa-Based Flintco Companies Understands the Power of Teamwork

At Flintco, that translates to cementing enduring relationships with clients - a difficult standard in an industry known for its blind focus on the lowest bidder. But even with government contracts, Flintco used its strong reputation for quality service and fiscal stability to build longstanding customer bonds, as well as turn that into consistent year-over-year growth.

I think that's a carryover to a lot of the success at Flintco, Maxwell said. It's key.

Since Maxwell joined Flintco in 1983 as chief financial officer, taking the president and chief executive posts four years later, the Tulsa-based contractor has grown from $50 million in revenue drawn from a single office to $700 million this year from nine locations.

He's wonderful at coalescing people into a group, building them into a team, and then moving them forward, said Robin Flint Ballenger, chairman of the board of Flintco's parent, Flint Industries.
