Electronic reporting for wholesalers of tobacco products would help with enforcement of Oklahoma's tobacco tax, members of the Cigarette and Tobacco Tax Advisory Committee said Monday.
"We want as many things electronically filed as possible," said Tony Mastin, director of public policy for the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Not only would it save the time and resources of Tax Commission employees who currently work from handwritten reports, but it would also help ensure the accuracy of the information available, he said.See the full content of this document
