Ok House Subcommittee Approves Increase in Amount That Can Be Placed in College Savings Accounts

A bill that would dramatically increase the amount of money Oklahomans can place tax free in college savings accounts has been approved by a House subcommittee.

Senate Bill 448 by state Rep. Susan Winchester would raise the maximum deduction granted to Oklahomans who invest their money in a college savings plan from $2,500 per account per year to as much as $20,000 per account.
