Oklahoma Spaceport Upgrades a Go After Injunction Plea Rejected

The Oklahoma Spaceport at Burns Flat will soon see $2 million worth of taxpayer-funded upgrades, including a security fence and improvements to the facility's control tower.

Legal counsel for the Oklahoma Space Industry Development Authority reported at Wednesday's meeting that the Oklahoma Supreme Court has rejected retired attorney Jerry Fent's request for an injunction to prevent state dollars allocated during the 2007 legislative session from being distributed to state agencies. Fent had argued the funds were allocated in an unconstitutional fashion.
