In a down economy driving so many other companies to lay off employees, Devon Energy Co. is looking much further ahead and is bringing new workers onboard.
"The economy hasn't been as strong as it has been in the past, but we understand it's a cyclical industry," Devon spokeswoman Alesha Leemaster said. "We manage our business for the long term, so when the economy does strengthen and commodity prices increase, we'll be better prepared to take advantage of that if we have a pipeline of talented work force to help us do it.See the full content of this document
