Shawnee Woman Leads Class Action Lawsuit Against Automaker

Summary


Rhonda Masquat had experienced some problems with the steering of her car a few times, but didn't realize the cause - or the extent - of the problem. Then she saw an ad run by the West Law Firm in her hometown of Shawnee.

The process that led Masquat all the way to the Oklahoma Supreme Court as the head plaintiff in a class-action lawsuit against DaimlerChrysler Corp. was a smooth one, she said. The Supreme Court on Tuesday affirmed the ruling of the District Court of Pottawatomie County granting class certification in Oklahoma, allowing the case against the carmaker to proceed.
