As Americans continue to decipher and digest the ramifications of health care reform, Oklahoma's physician-owned hospitals are faced with their own uncertainties.
A piece of the health care legislation enacted March 23 specifically speaks to the future of hospitals with physician ownership. In Oklahoma, that's 17 facilities that are partly or fully owned by physicians, according to the Physician Hospitals of America organization. Eleven are in Oklahoma City, three in Tulsa and one each in Edmond, Muskogee and Owasso.See the full content of this document
