Oklahoma Senate Passes Measure for Diabetes Center

Summary


A unanimous state Senate passed a bill Tuesday to provide $15 million in startup funding for a diabetes research and treatment center to be operated by the University of Oklahoma.

OU President David Boren said the center would have facilities located in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa, with cooperative programs operated through partnerships with Oklahoma Indian tribes and others.
