It's a fair assessment to say Oklahomans seem more enthusiastic about soccer and the FIFA World Cup this year. The excitement for that predominately foreign sport has also translated into a heightened market for soccer gear and World Cup paraphernalia, say a number of area sporting goods stores.
"We say that it brings out your closet soccer enthusiasts every four years," said Marilyn Paternostro, manager of Soccer & More USA, 2949 W. Hefner Rd. Paternostro began her soccer store 30 years ago after her son started playing youth leagues and she realized there was no place to buy good soccer equipment and gear in the area.See the full content of this document
