Though Democrats and Republicans in the state Senate share equal power, a group of Senate Democrats said Monday the Republican majority in the state House of Representatives is "running the train" this year, deciding unilaterally what bills are granted a hearing and which are not.
Senate Democrat leaders held a press conference to highlight a handful of their bills denied a hearing in the House, particularly those measures requiring health insurance companies to cover costs related to autism and clinical trials.
