Fourteen years ago in the dining room of his apartment, Michael Brown started Brown Aviation Tool Supply Co. with $2,000 in savings, a little luck and a lot of determination.
He purchased surplus and used tools from the Boeing factory in Wichita. From the back of his pickup truck, he sold them throughout Oklahoma and Texas. In the parking lots of aircraft repair facilities, he sold his specialty tools.
