The Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology is taking applications for the next round of competition for applied research awards.

About $2.5 million in state funds is available. Steve Biggers, director of the OCAST Research and Development Division, said past awardees report they have returned more than $682 million to the Oklahoma economy in the 13 years since the program began.
