Summary
Fifty teams from Oklahoma and surrounding states will compete in the Oklahoma Championship Steak Cook-Off Saturday at Sixth Street and Cincinnati Avenue in downtown Tulsa. The competition, now in its second year, is billed as "the largest steak dinner in Oklahoma." Proceeds will benefit four Tulsa charities: Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, Habitat for Humanity, Camp New Hope and Iron Gate Feeding ministry. The competition is presented by the Brotherhood of St. Lawrence at Trinity Episcopal Church.
Each team will pull out its best seasoning and grilling secrets to prepare a 16-ounce certified Angus beef rib-eye for a panel of six judges and the winning steak - team, that is - will take home the $2,500 top prize.
