Political problems overseas have taken a bite out of oil and gas production, but demand continues to grow, said Devon Energy Chief Executive Officer Larry Nichols, who was the featured speaker Monday at the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association's Capital & Technology Conference at the Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center in south Tulsa.
Nichols told a crowd of about 300 a decrease in production in Canada, coupled with a lack of drilling in Mexico, Ecuador, Libya and several parts of the Middle East, has been a factor.See the full content of this document
