The assistant secretary general for political affairs for the United Nations will be the speaker for a luncheon at Oklahoma City University at 1:30 p.m. April 16. Tuliameni Kalomoh will be keynote speaker on the theme of The Truth about the United Nations. Kalomoh, from Namibia, has served in his present capacity since 2002. A panel will respond to Kalomoh's remarks. The panel will include Larry Eberhardt, of OCU's political science department; Randall Jones, of the University of Central Oklahoma's political science department, and Bishop Shannon Mallory, an international humanitarian leader.

An award will be presented to UCO Provost Don Betz in recognition of his support for the United Nations international system.
