A study of the possibility of building a NASCAR track in Oklahoma was derailed before the waving of the checkered flag Thursday as state Rep. Joe Dorman, D-Rush Springs, told members of the House Tourism and Recreation Subcommittee he didn't see the project getting out of the starting gate.
