The $16 million theater will complete the architectural design of the OCCC Visual and Performing Arts Center.
Four years ago, students of the OCCC Leadership Council supported an additional fee that provided $8 million in bond financing covering half of the estimated cost of the facility. Lead gifts of $1 million from the Sarkeys Foundation and $500,000 from the Inasmuch Foundation initiated a community fundraising campaign. Financing for the theater also included $2 million in donations from foundations, corporations and individuals and OCCC capital improvement funds.Construction is expected to start in early 2011 with completion expected in December 2012."The...See the full content of this document
