Incumbents have historically won in legislative races, but that trend was reversed Tuesday night when a Guthrie Republican defeated state Rep. Dale DePue, R-Edmond, in the primary runoff in House District 31.
Jason Murphey received more votes in the primary but not enough to move on to the general election. In the runoff, however, he outdistanced DePue by more than 250 votes with 53.5 percent of the 3,758 total votes.See the full content of this document
