The 2,200 electronic gambling machines at the massive Riverwind Casino in Goldsby outnumber the 1,300 to 1,400 people who live in the city. The amount of cars passing through the gaming center's parking lot at any time will likely be twice the number parked anywhere else in town.

That's enough to give pause to consider the economic direction of the town as the casino develops, Mayor Glenn Berglan said.
