Oklahoma City's efforts to redevelop Lake Stanley Draper into a commercial and recreational area received a boost Wednesday in the form of $300,000 in federal transportation funds that will be used for road improvements surrounding the lake.
The announcement came from Ward 4 Councilman Brent Rinehart and U.S. Rep. Ernest Istook, R-Okla., who included the funds in the transportation portion of the omnibus spending bill that was signed into law earlier this year.
