Though his invention to this day remains unpopular with many, Carl C. Magee changed the course of traffic and parking history in America with his parking meter.
He was born in January 1873 and was educated as a child in Iowa schools. In 1894, he received a master's degree in didactics from the Iowa State Teacher's College. He then attended Upper Iowa University and received a Master of Arts degree four years later.See the full content of this document
