What started out as just another fundraising project soon became a passion for Gene McKown, co-owner and president of Ideal Homes in Norman.
After McKown was approached by organizers of Legacy Trail to help financially, he not only threw his own money and company funds in the pot but garnered the support of some of his friends, the owners of the Reynolds Ford dealerships and Forest Lumber.
