A consortium that includes Supervalu, CVS and an investment group headed by Cerberus Capital Management has agreed to buy Albertson's Inc. and its Albertsons stores for a total of $17.4 billion in cash, stock and debt assumption, Cerberus officials said Monday.
The overall deal calls for $9.7 billion in cash and stock and $7.7 billion in Albertson's debt. The transaction is expected to close around the middle of the year.See the full content of this document
