Unborn fetuses were the focus of a trio of legislative proposals that passed Thursday out of the state House Judiciary Committee.
A bill requiring informed consent of the patient and parental notification prior to an abortion was approved without debate. The measure would require physicians who perform abortions to inform the woman of the availability and location of state printed materials. Also required will be parental notification, although Rep. Kevin Calvey, R-Del City, said consent of the parents will not be a requirement. Calvey is the author of the bill.See the full content of this document
