Tulsa-Based Aaon Reports 25-Percent Jump in 1q Earnings
A roller-coaster trading session left Aaon shares 1.4 percent higher May 8 after the commercial environmental systems maker recorded a 25-percent jump in first-quarter earnings, but still missed Wall Street expectations. In the wake of a national Motley Fool report probing Aaon inventory and revenue hikes, the Tulsa manufacturer noted that its first-quarter sales rose 8 percent from a strong 2011, and its customer order backlog climbed 22 percent to $58.7 million at March 31.
Okc-Based Continental, Healthcorps Offer School Program
Continental Resources Inc. is bringing an in-school health program to Astec Charter School in Oklahoma City. The program, HealthCorps, was co-founded by cardiac surgeon and television host Mehmet Oz and his wife, Lisa Oz. The program will start at Astec Charter School in Oklahoma City this fall.
Tickets for individual concerts at the 2012 OK Mozart festival, scheduled June 8-17, are on sale now. The multi-genre festival, now in its 28th year, will feature some 130 performances ranging from classical to opera, from folk to jazz, plus African-American music. Okla. Gov. Fallin Names War Veterans Commission Members
Republican Gov. Mary Fallin has named five new members to the state's War Veterans Commission and reappointed another, her spokesman Alex Weintz confirmed Tuesday. Weintz said Fallin submitted the names to the Oklahoma Senate for approval. A holdback from 1947, when it was known as the Soldiers Relief Commission, the War Veterans Commission is charged with oversight of the state's seven veterans centers and the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs.

Chesapeake Midstream Partners reported positive results for the first quarter.
