Rose State College in Midwest City Offers Bachelor's Degree Through New Partnership
Rose State College students will be able to get a bachelor's degree in technology in information assurance and forensics without leaving Midwest City through a new partnership with Oklahoma State University-Okmulgee. Students will receive an associate's degree in networking/cyber- security from Rose State and then transfer to OSU-Okmulgee for upper- level courses.
Biodiesel Workshop in Stillwater to Address Production Questions
Nurhan Dunford says interest in biofuel production is increasing among Oklahoma entrepreneurs and businesses. "I get a lot of calls from farmers and people interested in producing biodiesel fuel in their garages and from investors interested in biofuel production," said Dunford, who leads the research in oil and oilseed chemistry at the Oklahoma Food and Agricultural Production Research and Technology Center at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.

Five Join University of Phoenix Okc Campus
Tiffany Diller and Nick Huff have been named enrollment managers for the University of Phoenix Oklahoma City campus. Before their promotions, Diller and Huff served as enrollment counselors. Michael-James Johnson has been named finance manager for the UOP Oklahoma City campus. Johnson previously served as finance counselor for UOP in Phoenix.

Advisory Board Discusses Addition of 'Channels' to River Plan in Tulsa
The Arkansas River Authority Advisory Committee met Friday in downtown Tulsa to discuss the proposed "Channels Project" for development in and around the Arkansas River. The meeting was open to the public, and many citizens attended - some of whom held signs reading "No river tax" - but no public comment was allowed. The meeting was intended to brief the advisory committee and inform the public as to the process of reviewing the project's feasibility.
Tubular Pipe Maker Becomes Largest Tenant for Port of Catoosa Facility Near
Erlanger Tubular Corp. has boosted its Tulsa Port of Catoosa presence by 18 acres, becoming the port's largest tenant. Erlanger employs about 250 people at its 39-acre existing facility, which also makes it one of the largest employers at the port. The added acreage will be used for a new pipe storage yard and rail and truck loading area, making room for production expansion on the original site.
